Lever box

This is an eleven move box with a trick up it's sleeve. Some people have figured it out in 30mins to an hour and some take days.

This is my lever box. It’s the first real puzzle box design I made, although it has been refined over the years. This particular one is made from solid birch ply with a burl veneer to the top face. The levers are made of bog oak. Bog oak is a lovely wood to work with, essentially it is an oak tree that at the end of its life has fallen into a bog and soaked for a 100 years or so. This process gives the bog oak a dark almost black colouring and a fine structure. To find out more about bog oak please look at my materials page.
