ripple box
This is an ten move box that has fooled many.. interestingly the process is not entirely linear which really throws people off the track.
The ripple box took alot of developing. This particular one is made from walnut with a solid birch ply inner core finished with red stain and 23.5crt gold leaf. The whole box is finished and then carved with the ripple surface before the laquer and polish are applied. The outer surface carving is repeated on every face which makes it lovley to handle and a trick to know which side is which. This box is a real challenge for the serious puzzler.
